Prologue
It started like this.ARCHMAGE Aldebaran strode through the hallway, searching for something. Where can I hide it? He was carrying something within his cloak. He must never get his hands on this! He went far into the hallway, still no choice in sight. It’s taking too long. After the next corner, he turned left. After a few seconds, he found what he was looking for. Gotcha.He opened the wooden box, and, like holding a huge egg, placed it inside. There. He closed the lid. Pointing his staff towards the opening of the lid, “Bind.” Immediately a flash of light shot from the tip of the staff towards the lid. After it subsided, there was a symbol etched across the lid.
Now for the task at hand…
He turned around, facing where he came from. He can hear explosions. He’s coming near. He held his staff high above his head, “Adeat spiritualis divina seclusio, adeat mea pars hodie…” His wand lit up, engulfing the caster. “…exclamatio juris!” The light grew further, this time emanating a pinkish glow surrounding Aldebaran. “evocem nonaginta spiritus lucis, evocem spiritus divinus…” streaks of light ematated from the ceiling, flowed down above Aldebaran, then condensed into winged and armored translucent beings with an ethreal glow. They knelt midair towards him.
All set.
“Now all that’s left is for him to come.”
The shadow in the hallway grew larger and larger, until it engulfed the hallway at the corner of Aldebaran…
